Mr. Patrick McCarthy Commits to “Prvi Mart” Initiative

After one and a half years of dedicated and selfless service to the Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Patrick McCarthy has decided to commit his creative energies and organizational talent to the “Prvi Mart” civil society initiative.

Patrick McCarthyGiven the enormity of this undertaking and its inherent complexities, he will be stepping down as the Vice President of ACBH effective today. Mr. McCarthy will work with the Advisory Council’s transitional team to help smoothly hand over responsibilities to the new leadership of the Advisory Council and newly elected members of the Board of Directors.

Mr. McCarthy and the Advisory Council as an institution, believes in the pivotal importance of the “Prvi Mart” initiative and are happy to see that this unique mechanism for further democratization of Bosnia and Herzegovina will have a strong supporter in Patrick.

Through his role as a member of the Board of Directors, and through his short tenure as the Vice President of the Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. McCarthy has contributed to the improvement of the operational mechanisms of the organization. In addition, through his hard work, he has helped sharpen the focus and streamline the efforts of the Advisory Council while always keeping in mind the well-being of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Advisory Council is grateful for Mr. McCarthy’s contribution to the Bosnian American community and we hope to have many more constructive opportunities of serving our diverse communities together. We wish Mr. McCarthy the very best with his involvement in the “Prvi Mart” initiative.
