Admir Catic is 28 years old and was diagnosed with a brain tumor on his temporal lobe in 2010. In 2011, due to the tumor’s size he began having seizures. The seizures were not controllable with medications and his doctors advised him to have brain surgery in hopes to control/ stop the seizures.
Due to the location of his tumor only 50% of it was removed in order to avoid any more debilitating effects. Unfortunately, the surgery did not help his seizures at all. Admir continues to have partial seizures every 3-4 days and grand mal seizures every 3 weeks. Currently Admir is undergoing chemotherapy in hopes that it will shrink the tumor and help control his seizures. Due to all this Admir is not able to drive and he can’t be left alone.
As if his health issues weren’t enough, he was let go from his job without any type of insurance or benefits. Admir resides in St. Louis with his wife and two beautiful children Leila 6 and Adina 1. His wife is a hairstylist and only works part time. Medical bills and just bills in general are piling up. Admir and his family are struggling to make it on a day to day basis. We ask you to please have a heart and join us Sunday December, 9th at Grbic Banquet Hall for a fundraiser in honor of Admir Catic.
