*Dr. Aras Konjhodžić is a distinguished name within the Bosnian social and scientific community in the US. He was born in Banja Luka, from where life took him first to Turkey, then to far Australia, and finally to the promised land of the US. The title of the doctor of physics has opened many university doors for him, where he accomplished a commendable reputation.

However, almost three years ago, he replaced the career of a scientist and university professor with active social work on the position of the president of the Federation of Balkan-American associations (FEBA), an organization that gathers hundreds of thousands of people who live in America, and who are natives of BiH or of other countries in the region.

Their goal is, as Konjhodžić points out, to create “new Obamas” within young generations under the auspices of the organization, and at the same time to encourage the young not to forget their roots and cultural and spiritual values of their homeland.

Konjhodžić is one of the most influential individuals in the US today, someone who manages to gather representatives of governments of all Balkan countries.
